Puppy Dog Hotel are pleased to announce that we will be helping the Dogs Trust (Harefield) in various ways, in addition to our monthly donation, website space, collection Box (At Puppy Dog Hotel) and distibuting leaflets within our own packs we will now be sponsoring a monthly 'Doggy' hamper full of goodies. We will also be asking our clients to donate any new/old bedding, dog toys, tins of dog food (Urgently needed) etc which the centre are always in need of. If you can help in anyway please do. Anyone wishing to drop bedding, toys, food off to us at Puppy Dog Hotel please contact us and we will arrange to pass it on to Dogs Trust (Harefield). Thank you.

2012 Calendar Puppy Dog Hotel is very happy to help promote the release of the 'Skye' Calendar in aid or raising funds to help support New Sight, we have already ordered our copy and ask you to consider buying one too. A great job Alex and of course Skye and friends too, well done.
Skye and his canine friends may not be guide dogs, but they are playing a part in helping blind and visually impaired people to see again through New Sight. Eighty percent of blindness is avoidable. Simple measures such as cataract operations costing as little as £50 can restore sight and change lives.

We have recently been informed of a very distressing piece of news; a dog was recently left with an ‘Unlicensed Home Boarder’ in the Buckinghamshire area and very sadly due to severe injuries inflicted by other dogs whilst in the home unfortunately died. We always advise callers that they should check with the local authority if a person/home has been licensed, if it has you will know that certain minimum conditions must be met. Puppy Dog Hotel™ has always been licensed by Chiltern District Council, you can check this on their website by CLICKING HERE or by telephone 01494 729000 and ask for ‘Animal Licensing’ they will be very happy to advise you whether a ‘Home Boarding Licence’ is held by the home boarder in question. Puppy Dog Hotel™ understands that leaving your loved pet with us is a big decision and you trust us to give the love and care your pet would get from you, due to demand we have to disappoint hundreds of owners each year but our advice to those we talk to is ALWAYS check whether other home boarders have a licence, in Counties where a licence is required it is an offence to board dogs or puppies without it. So although we say it repeatedly on the phone and throughout this website PLEASE CHECK it may save you much heartache.

Puppy Dog Hotel™ is a successful business and receives calls from prospective clients from across the UK; we regularly receive calls from as far north as Scotland to Cornwall in the south, from Wales, the Midlands and Norfolk asking if we have local branches. In addition in the last year we have had to disappoint over 300 clients as we were already fully booked for the dates they required. Puppy Dog Hotel™ Pet Taxi Service.
Puppy Dog Hotel™ offer a Pet Taxi Service using a variety of our own vehicles to transport your pet to any UK Mainland destination. This may simply be to the Vets, Home Boarder, Kennels or your new home. In the case of a Dog or Puppy we can even board overnight or for several nights if required before delivering your treasured friend back to you. This is extremely useful if you are moving to a new home for example and want to get settled before bringing your Dog or Puppy into the new enviroment. Your Dog or Puppy can be transported using either a Car Harness, in a crate or behind a Dog Guard, the choice is yours!
We can also transport small domestic pets such as Cats & Kittens, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Hamsters, Gerbils, Mice, Rats, Chinchillas, Birds, Fish, Tortoise etc.
Charity Donations. Puppy Dog Hotel™ makes a regular donation to several dog related charities, these include: Dog's Trust, Dogs for the Disabled, Guide Dogs, P.D.S.A, (Peoples Dispensary for Sick Animals), Border Collie Trust, Lake District Mountain Rescue Search Dogs, Stokenchurch Dog Rescue these charities rely on public donations and do a wonderful job, without government funding and often without thanks. In addition to volunteering our boarding and training/socialisation services to the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People charity. We also have a collection box for Dogs Trust at the Puppy Dog Hotel™. Emergency First Aid Course Karina and Amelia have recently attended and completed an Emergency First Aid course for Dogs at the Berkshire College of Agriculture. This involves such issues as Resuscitation, Road Traffic Accidents, Fractures, Wound dressing, and Choking etc. Although we hope we never need to use these skills it is obviously beneficial to know how to do so correctly should the need arise. Other members of staff will be taking the course later in the year when the college run the course again.
Kids be a trainer for a day! Following some research and several clients request we are considering offering a LIMITED number of places to become a dog/puppy trainer for the day! This will initially be aimed at Children aged between 7 & 16 years of age and will involve learning how to do a basic health check on a dog/puppy, how to care and groom a dog/puppy and of course how to train a dog/puppy basic commands such as Sit, Down, Stay, Walk to Heel and Recall. Each Child will also go on a local walk and be given the opportunity to put the commands into practice. Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the day. At the end of this great fun day each child will be provided a Certificate stating they have had a day’s training course at The Puppy Dog Hotel™, a photo with the dog/puppy they have been training and their own professional dog training whistle with an exclusive Puppy Dog Hotel™ lanyard and note pad. New e–mail help service.
We will shortly be launching our new e-mail help service to cover all aspects of dog and puppy care, this will of course include training methods as used at the Puppy Dog Hotel™ and advice on how to tackle all kinds of behavioural problems. This service will allow you to send details of your general query, training or behaviour advice required by e-mail. We will give a full written reply and/or telephone you for up to 30 minutes (Landlines only) at no additional charge to discuss/advise you accordingly. This new e-mail service will be up and running during February 2010 and will not affect our current 1 to 1 telephone and advice help line which is already operational.
